Surface

The city of Kanpur’s roads remain in good condition with even better connectivity. National Highways 2, 25, 86 and 91 all pass through directly into the city for those traveling by car. NH2 and NH25 also turn off onto passes conveniently close by.

Kanpur also contains two major bus stations (the most important and main provider being the Jhkarkati Bus Station) which supplies Royal Cruiser Volvo buses to Delhi, Jaipur and Agra.

Train

Kanpur’s train services run via Indian Railways, and provides connections to major cities and stops in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Farrukhabad, Jabalpur, Srinagar, Jaipur, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Pune, Surat, Lucknow and Nagpur.

Kanpur’s extensive railway line contains eleven stations in total within the inner city: Kanpur Central, Kanpur Anwarganj, Govindpuri (Kanpur South), Panki, Chakeri, Chandari, Rawatpur, Kalianpur (Kalyanpur), Mandhana Jn., Kanpur Bridge Left Bank and Kanpur SMU CBSA.

Kanpur Central is recognized as Kanpur’s main terminal, as well as the largest station out of all North Central Railways. This spacious station provides history, important connections and regular, frequent services.

Air

Kanpur Airport features a daily flight between Kanpur and Delhi’s domestic terminals every Monday to Saturday via a 48-seater plane. The Amausi International airport located in Lucknow is currently used by Kanpur locals for travel.

Air traffic is not currently in high demand to other regions in India from Kanpur; however, an instrument landing system is looking to be introduced soon to the developing airport, allowing flights to major cities (such as Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata) to be provided.
